Job Positioning
The GVO Partners Private Equity Analyst Internship Program’s goal is to provide aspiring private investors an opportunity to experience the life of an investor and develop valuable skills applicable within or outside of the private investment community.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deal Flow Sourcing: Use brokered and proprietary sources, meet and speak with founders and CEOs, and learn the tools of the trade to generate deal flow.
- Industry Thesis Generation: Brainstorm attractive industries, conduct primary and secondary research to validate theses, identify macro headwinds and tailwinds.
- Due Diligence & Valuation: Participate in owner/management calls with acquisition targets, conduct primary and secondary market research, build financial models (e.g., LBO modelling).
- Fundraising: Create Confidential Information Memorandum (CIM) to raise acquisition equity, work with commercial banks to assist in debt financing processes
Qualifications
- Considering a future career in the private investment ecosystem
- Enrolling or enrolled in a top undergraduate program, or have similar professional experiences
- Comfortable with Microsoft Excel
