Alex Ostrov

Alex is a Canadian CPA with over a decade of experience in corporate finance, private equity, and venture-backed businesses. He began his career at Ernst & Young (EY), where he built a strong technical foundation before relocating to the firm’s Bermuda office. There, he specialized in working with private equity and venture capital clients, gaining deep exposure to complex financial structures and global markets.


After several years in Assurance, Alex transitioned into industry, joining a high-growth tech company where he served as Financial Controller and later Director of Finance. In this role, he led budgeting, forecasting, and financial operations through key phases of scale and strategic investment.

At GVO Partners, Alex oversees financial operations across the platform, bringing a calm, analytical approach to growth planning, reporting, and execution. He’s passionate about building sound financial infrastructure that supports long-term value creation for both partners and investors.
Outside of work, Alex is an avid traveler, jiu jitsu practitioner, and aspiring golfer—often chasing new stamps in his passport or perfecting his game on the mats and fairways.
